1. Overview
Pinglo helps people post and recover lost and found items. This policy explains what data we process and why.
2. Public posts and private verification
Public posts do not include real photos. After a claim is initiated, matched users may optionally share a private proof photo visible only to the matched users (and moderators if required for safety). Proof photos are deleted automatically 30 days after an item is marked returned. Chat text may be retained for safety and user experience.
3. Data we process
- Account details you provide (for sign-in and profile).
- Report content (item details, category, approximate area, time window).
- Chat messages and safety reports/blocks.
- Optional proof photos shared after claim verification.
4. How we use data
- Operate lost-and-found matching and chat.
- Enforce safety controls (reporting, blocking, moderation review where needed).
- Maintain fraud prevention and dispute handling.
5. Retention
- Proof photos: auto-deleted 30 days after return confirmation.
- Chat text and non-image records: may be retained for safety, disputes, and user experience.
6. Tracking and advertising
Pinglo does not use cross-app tracking for advertising in the current release.
